Winter Bleeder Lines:
There are some locations within the Norridgewock Water District where the system comes to a dead end or the water main is above the frost line. Because this is a potential area for a winter freeze-up, we have asked customers in these locations to run a bleeder line. Customers who have a bleeder line after their water meter will be billed for their average water usage, based on the previous year’s usage.
We will notify you as to when you should turn your bleeder line on – as well as when to shut if off. Customers who turn their bleeder lines on early, and/or leave them on after we’ve asked to shut them off, will be billed for actual usage.
